Smaller Discord communities

Why smaller communities? Well, it means a lot less competition. This is also the reason why I can't recommend to only having a fiverr account and hoping to get clients with it. People who are looking for artists, like V-Tuber (or Lewd-Tuber) most likely look who is easiest to find. I've got most of my past commissions from such small communities. Be prepared to draw the person in charge of the community.

Art marketplaces

there are a bunch, the ones I can recommend are artistsandclients and artistree. Tip: Check if the site owner, still publishes site updates or keeps active social media profiles. You don't want to settle on sites where you are on your own when a dispute happens, looking at you commiss.io

Be sceptical about too good to be true offers, people with a very emotional commission and a deep backstory are usually scammers

No shit, try r/drawmensfw they list you in their subreddit as verified artist and there are people who look for artists in that subreddit to commission.

Other subreddits:

• r/artcommissions
• r/starvingartists
• r/dndcommissions - they don't allow NSFW material for promotions, but you can totally do NSFW commissions there as well
• r/hireanartist
• r/hungryartists

Use Reddit to display your work and attract potential clients. NSFW Subreddits: Don't think you get new clients with those subreddits, I tried them in the past but since the rise of AI Crap they are flooded with them and you just go under in the sheer flood of low quality submissions.

Art Sites

They usually have a marketplace, like Newgrounds or even Job Boards like Cara I know that artfol.co has a Marketplace too, but that is only available for members of the page/app, which makes you super hard to discover.

Your own site

No brainer, you should have an independed page (like carrd) where you share your prices. Allmylinks or Linktree is possible too where you share a link to a hosted PDF file.

Informations on your Commission sheets

I see this way to often: Don't overcomplicate your sheets! It doesn't need to include every tiny bit, that influences your prices.

• Write sometimething like: prices varies on complexity - you want your client to drop a message anyway
• Give them an easy way to contact you, not just your Discord Username or any service that requires an account. Have an extra E-Mail just for commissions. Some sites like artistree, don't require an account for the client.
• Include examples, show at least one picture of what you do - THIS IS SO IMPORTANT
• Include Terms and Refunds
• Calculate your prices like this: time x minimum waage in your country + material costs + bonus for you (use this If you don't know how to price your commissions)
• It's up to you to reject a request if you think it's not for you.
• Don't lower your prices, just because someone tells you they can't afford it. You have bills to pay. And need to buy sweets and coffee.
• Don't create huge price ranges. Like something $100 - $500 will put off clients.
• Stick to something you can do best, don't be a Jack of all trades :)
